What qualifications do I need in order to do practical training?
Good school leaving examination results and college study grades, as well as obvious motivation are the minimum prerequisites for practical training at Polysius.

Will I be paid during the practical training?
Payment depends on whether it is a compulsory work experience course/internship or a voluntary one. The payment can be between 0.00 € and 770.00 € per month.

Does Polysius offer the opportunity to do practical training in foreign countries?
In some cases it is possible to do practical training at a Polysius subsidiary. However, as their capacities are limited the subsidiaries decide independently whether to employ trainees.

What are the prerequisites for practical training abroad?
You must have a good command of the relevant country's language and, where applicable, you have to pay the travelling expenses and cost of accommodation out of your own pocket. Furthermore, there are specific prerequisites for each individual country (e.g. residence and work permits etc.). Before starting practical training abroad, you should obtain relevant information from the subsidiary concerned.

Student trainee
Can I work at Polysius as a student trainee during my vacations?
If the main point of your employment is not work experience, but having a vacation job to improve your finances, you can also work at Polysius as a student trainee. Please remember, however, that this employment will not be recognized as practical training in connection with your course of studies.

The rate of payment depends on your previous working experience and is governed by the industry's collective wage agreement.

In principle yes. However, our subsidiaries decide independently about whether to employ persons working on a Bachelor or Master thesis. Universities and colleges often experience problems with the supervision of theses prepared abroad.
